David Krumholtz is set to take another regular role in a TV series after his starring vehicle “Numb3rs” got canceled last year. The actor has been cast as the general manager of Playboy club in NBC’s pilot about the adult magazine empire.
According to Deadline, Krumholtz is locked for the role of Albert Brooks who is young and “bottom-line kind of guy, a bit of a nerd who now gets to play with the cool kids.” The project, coming from “Tru Calling” creator Chad Hodge, is set at the Playboy Club in Chicago in 1963.
Tapped to be Krumholtz’s co-stars are Amber Heard and Naturi Naughton who have first secured roles as the Playboy bunnies. Heard will play Maureen, the club’s new hire, a young woman with unrestrained sexuality and a dark past, while Naughton will play Brenda, the first black Playboy centerfold and Maureen’s friend and roommate in the Bunny Dormitory.
Meanwhile, the status of Laura Benanti as a cast is still a rumor. The Tony Award-winning actress is reportedly to play Carol-Lynne, an established star at the club who knows that as she gets older she will not be able to continue working there for much longer.

His last two movies were really fantabulous, but in both the movies, he did not get to play superhero! Though he was really important for both flicks, he really wants to be a part of something as legendary as Batman.
Believe it or not, but even I am fascinated by the character of Robin. This is one sidekick, who had an identity that was all his own, and was never overshadowed by the actual superhero.
I think this star from the Numb3rs episodes is talented enough and will certainly justify the demands of a role like Robin’s.
